What Is a UV Digital Flatbed Printer?
A UV digital flatbed printer is a direct-to-object digital printing device that deposits UV-curable ink onto curved and cylindrical surfaces including bottles, tumblers, mugs, pens and other round objects, eliminating the need for heat transfer film, pad printing or screen printing. The built-in UV LED lamp cures each ink droplet within milliseconds after deposition, allowing it to produce waterproof, scratch-resistant full-color graphics in just one production pass.
The XT-6090 Plus is more than a UV cylindrical printer: it is an all-in-one industrial platform that integrates a 60×90 cm UV flatbed printer, a roll-to-flat UV printer for flexible media and a dedicated UV cylindrical printing function into a single compact unit, purpose-built for commercial production.

Advantages
Direct Cylindrical Printing — No Transfer Film, No Heat Required
Traditional decoration methods for cylindrical items, including heat shrink sleeves, pad printing and screen printing, rely on intermediate films, multi-step setup procedures and long changeover times. The XOTO UV cylindrical printer eliminates all these intermediate steps: UV ink is deposited directly onto the surface of curved objects and cured by LED within milliseconds. The complimentary bottle holder jig that comes with the machine holds each item in precise alignment, delivering sharp text, photographic-quality imagery and smooth fine gradients with no film cost and zero heat-related risks.
Latest 8-Color Ink System — Superior Gamut and Accuracy
Most competing UV printers adopt a 6-color CMYK+W configuration. The XT-6090 Plus adds Light Magenta and Light Cyan channels to expand the color gamut, enabling photorealistic skin tones, smooth gradient transitions and finer highlight details that 6-color systems cannot reproduce. Its on-demand Varnish channel can apply a gloss or matte tactile finish layer, which is a premium feature for gifts, luxury goods and branded promotional products.

Roll-to-Flat Integration — Three Modes, One Machine
The XT-6090 Plus supports three independent production modes:
• Flatbed UV mode: prints on rigid materials up to 60 × 90 cm, (including glass, acrylic, metal, wood, PVC, leather, ceramic and cardboard
• Roll-to-Flat UV mode: enables continuous printing on flexible roll media (such as vinyl, fabric banners and PVC rolls via the built-in roll feeder
• Cylindrical UV mode: supports direct printing on round objects up to 180 mm in height with the complimentary bottle holder jig
Consolidating three production workflows into a single device cuts capital expenditure, saves floor space and reduces the burden of operator training, delivering a distinct competitive edge for print service providers that work with multiple types of substrates.

Automatic Height Detection — Zero Collisions, Maximum Safety
A precision height sensor scans each object and automatically sets the optimal print gap before every print job, regardless of whether the operator loads a 5 mm glass tile or a 170 mm insulated tumbler. This function eliminates print head collisions, which are the single most common cause of downtime and repair costs for all UV cylindrical printers. A consistent distance between the ink and the print surface across all jobs ensures uniform color density and extends the service life of the print head.

X-Axis Dual Linear Guide Rails — Precision Dot Placement
Two parallel X-axis linear guide rails evenly distribute the carriage load, suppress vibration and eliminate lateral deflection at all printing speeds. This directly achieves more precise dot placement, sharper edge definition for fine text, and stable output quality throughout long production runs. For commercial UV cylindrical printer workplaces operating multi-shift production, this structural upgrade significantly cuts annual maintenance costs.

Real-Time Ink Shortage Alarm — Nozzle Protection
Eight independent ink sensors provide continuous monitoring for every ink channel. When the ink volume of any channel drops below the safe operating threshold, an immediate alarm will alert the operator before ink is completely exhausted. This prevents two critical failure scenarios: mid-print defects caused by empty ink channels, and nozzle dry firing, which is the top cause of costly print head replacement in UV printers. The external large-capacity ink bottles also allow operators to refill ink during a print run without stopping the UV cylindrical printer.

UV LED Curing — Instant Dry, Low Heat, Eco-Friendly
The built-in UV LED curing system cures every ink droplet in milliseconds, eliminating the need for waiting time, additional drying racks, or extra post-curing steps. Compared with traditional mercury UV lamps, it reduces power consumption by approximately 60–70%, features extremely low heat output (making it safe to print on heat-sensitive plastics and thin films), generates no ozone emissions, contains no mercury, and has a rated service life of over 20,000 hours. Prints produced by this UV cylindrical printer are instantly waterproof, scratch-resistant and UV-stable, and can be directly packaged and dispatched right after printing.

Pressure Ink Supply + Auto White Ink Stirring
The pressure-based ink supply system delivers consistent, bubble-free ink flow to all eight channels at any print speed, eliminating the banding and color shifts that are common in gravity-feed systems. The automatic white ink circulation and stirring mechanism keeps titanium dioxide pigment particles suspended 24/7, ensuring full, consistent white opacity on dark and transparent cylindrical substrates without manual intervention. Together, these systems make the XT-6090 Plus one of the most reliable UV digital flatbed printer platforms for unattended long-run production.

How to Use
Direct UV Cylindrical Printing
Step 1 - Prepare Artwork
Design your artwork in Photoshop, Illustrator, or CorelDRAW, then import it into the RIPrint RIP software (included with the USB drive). Set the output dimensions, color channels (CMYK / white underbase / varnish), and print pass count according to your substrate.
Step 2 - Load the Cylindrical Object
Attach the matching bottle holder jig to the platform of the UV digital flatbed printer, then place the bottle or tumbler into the jig. The automatic height sensor will scan the object and set the print gap automatically, with no manual measurement required.
Step 3 - Print and Collect
Start the print job from RIPrint. UV ink is deposited and LED-cured within milliseconds. The finished product is immediately waterproof and scratch-resistant, so you can remove it for delivery without additional curing time.
UV DTF Sticker Printing - For Irregular Surfaces
Step 1 - Print on UV DTF PET Film
Load the UV DTF PET roll film into the roll-to-flat feed of the UV digital flatbed printer. RIPrint will automatically print the white base, full-color image, and adhesive varnish top coat in sequence.

FAQ
Q: What is the difference between a UV digital flatbed printer and a standard UV flatbed printer?
A: A standard UV flatbed printer can only deposit ink on flat, rigid materials placed on its vacuum bed. A UV digital flatbed printer is equipped with an additional cylindrical jig that holds round objects including bottles, cups, tumblers and pens under the print heads, enabling direct UV printing on curved surfaces without requiring transfer film or heat processing. The XT-6090 Plus integrates both of these capabilities along with roll-to-flat printing in a single unit, making it the most versatile choice for businesses handling mixed substrate production.
Q: What is the maximum diameter of cylindrical objects that this UV digital flatbed printer can accommodate?
A: The XT-6090 Plus supports a printing height range of 0 to 180 mm, which covers the majority of standard cylindrical items, including 20 oz slim tumblers, 500 ml water bottles, wide-mouth glass jars, standard coffee mugs, pens, and golf balls. For non-standard dimensions, please contact our team with the exact diameter and height of your object to confirm compatibility.
Q: Does a UV digital flatbed printer require pre-treatment or primer before printing?
A: For non-porous surfaces like glass, stainless steel, chrome-plated metal and certain hard plastics, applying a UV adhesion primer before printing can greatly improve ink bonding and long-term scratch resistance. For porous substrates such as untreated wood or uncoated cardboard, direct printing without primer is generally sufficient. XOTO provides a complete substrate pre-treatment guide with every purchase of a UV digital flatbed printer.
Q: What RIP software comes with the printer, and how difficult is it to learn?
A: The XT-6090 Plus includes RIPrint RIP software preloaded on a USB drive. RIPrint is a widely adopted Windows-based RIP platform across the UV printing industry. Operators first prepare their artwork in Photoshop, Illustrator, or CorelDRAW, import the file into RIPrint, configure the substrate profile and color settings, then send the job to the UV cylindrical printer. XOTO provides detailed step-by-step video tutorials and an official user manual to help new operators master the software and reach production-ready proficiency quickly.
Q: How durable and waterproof are prints made with this UV digital flatbed printer?
A: During the printing process, the LED lamp triggers chemical cross-linking that bonds UV-cured ink firmly to the substrate surface. The resulting prints are permanently waterproof, scratch-resistant, and stay stable under prolonged UV light exposure. On cylindrical substrates with proper primer application, XOTO UV prints can withstand repeated hand washing, daily use, and outdoor exposure without peeling, fading, or cracking. Dishwasher resistance can also be achieved with the correct primer—please refer to our substrate guidelines for specific material requirements.
Q: Can this machine also produce UV DTF transfer stickers?
A: Yes. The XT-6090 Plus’s roll-to-flat feed system prints UV DTF stickers on PET roll film, creating ready-to-peel transfers that can adhere to any surface—curved, embossed, textured, or irregular—without the need for a heat press. UV DTF is an ideal solution for items that are too small, fragile, or irregularly shaped to be loaded directly into the UV cylindrical printer jig, such as embossed caps, complex 3D structures, or bottles with extreme tapering.
Q: What is the per-unit ink cost, and how does ink consumption compare with competing products?
A: The XT-6090 Plus uses approximately 1.5 ml of UV ink per square meter, which is among the lowest consumption rates in its product class. Paired with a pressure-based external bulk ink bottle system that supports bulk ink refills and mid-print top-ups, its per-unit ink cost is significantly lower than that of competitors with higher ink consumption. Our sales team can provide a customized per-unit cost estimate based on your product dimensions and print coverage.
Q: Is the UV digital flatbed printer compatible with Apple Mac computers?
A: No. The XT-6090 Plus and the bundled RIPrint software require a Windows operating system (Windows 7, 8, or 10). Neither standard macOS nor Apple Silicon chips are supported. The standard operating configuration for this UV printer is a dedicated Windows PC connected via USB cable.
Q: What after-sales support does XOTO provide for this UV digital flatbed printer?
A: XOTO offers a comprehensive after-sales package including step-by-step installation and operation video tutorials, a user manual stored on a USB drive, real-time online technical guidance from our engineering team via chat and email, as well as a stable supply of spare parts for all consumable and wearable components.
